Understanding the therapy

What acupuncture involves

Acupuncture at ThermoCare is a calm, needle-based therapy in which fine, sterile, single-use needles are placed at selected points to encourage circulation and a more settled state. Sessions run around 45 to 60 minutes at the clinic in Banashankari 3rd Stage, Bengaluru.

Fine, sterile, single-use needles are placed at specific points to encourage circulation and help the body settle into a calmer, more balanced state.

Each session is gentle and personalised to how you are feeling on the day, in a quiet and comfortable setting.

When it may feel relevant

These are conversation starters, not a diagnosis or an automatic treatment recommendation.

Is this right for you?

What acupuncture is, and what it is not

Both halves matter. If this is not the right fit, we would rather you knew before booking.

This may suit you if

  • People carrying everyday back, neck or shoulder discomfort who would rather not have deep pressure applied.
  • Anyone who finds sustained hands-on work uncomfortable but still wants hands-on care.
  • People who prefer a quiet, still session over an active one.
  • First-time visitors who want the process explained step by step before anything starts.

What this will not do

  • It is not a diagnosis. We cannot tell you what is causing your symptoms.
  • It does not treat or cure any medical condition, and it is not an alternative to medicine your doctor has prescribed.
  • It is not appropriate for severe, sudden, worsening or unexplained symptoms, which need medical assessment first.
  • It does not produce a guaranteed result, and we will not tell you how many sessions you need before meeting you.
Your visit, made clear

What happens, step by step

  1. We begin with a private conversation about what you are feeling, your health context and what would make the visit comfortable.

  2. The practitioner explains the selected points and shows you the sterile, single-use needles before anything begins.

  3. Fine needles are placed gradually while you rest in a supported position, with regular comfort check-ins.

  4. Needles are removed and safely disposed of before we talk through how you feel and any sensible next step.

What to expect during the session

  • You can ask questions or pause at any point.
  • Pace, pressure and positioning are adjusted to your comfort.
  • Supportive wellness care is not a medical diagnosis.

After your visit

How will I feel after acupuncture?

Most people feel looser and slower for the rest of the day. Here is what is normal, and what is worth telling us about.

  • Drink water and give yourself an unhurried hour afterwards where you can.
  • Mild tiredness or a heavy, relaxed feeling for the rest of the day is common and settles on its own.
  • Small bruise-like marks at a needle site occasionally appear and fade within a few days.
  • Tell us about anything that felt uncomfortable, so the next session is set differently.
Safety comes first

Know when to pause or seek medical care

Wellness therapy should never delay assessment for severe, sudden, worsening or unexplained symptoms.

  • Tell your practitioner about injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy, medicines, skin changes, or areas you would like avoided.
  • Seek prompt medical assessment for severe, sudden, worsening, or unexplained symptoms.

Questions people ask before booking

If your question is not covered, ask us before making a booking.

The needles are very fine. Sensations vary and may include a brief pinch, warmth or heaviness. Tell us straight away if anything feels uncomfortable.

No. ThermoCare uses sterile, single-use needles that are opened for your session and safely disposed of afterwards.

There is no one-size-fits-all number. We begin with one visit, notice how you respond and discuss options without asking you to commit to a course.

The main safety measures are sterile, single-use needles opened in front of you, a full conversation about your health context before starting, and continuous check-ins during the session. Tell us about any medicines, bleeding disorders, pregnancy or skin conditions before you book.

Tell us you are pregnant before booking, and check with your doctor or midwife first. Some therapies and positions are not appropriate during pregnancy, and we would rather decline a session than proceed unsure.

Charges depend on the therapy and the length of the session. Please call or WhatsApp +91 70224 87779 for current pricing, and we will tell you before you book rather than after you arrive.

An appointment is strongly preferred. ThermoCare runs one-to-one sessions rather than a waiting room, so an unannounced visit may find the practitioner already with someone.

Tell us before booking and check with your doctor. Blood-thinning medication changes what is appropriate, and we will not proceed without knowing.
