What is frozen shoulder?
Frozen shoulder, medically known as adhesive capsulitis, is a condition where the capsule around the shoulder joint thickens and tightens. It typically runs through phases: an increasingly painful stage, a stiff stage where pain settles but movement is very limited, and a slow thawing stage.
The whole course often takes many months. That timeline is genuinely frustrating, and it is worth knowing about upfront, because it is also why nobody should promise you a quick fix.
